  1. Previous slide: Hahgoot with her friends Adrian, Hannah and Paige next to their class’ sunflowers. Thanks Hanna Piza for the lovely photos! Hahgoot has been working hard on her homework – she spends 10 minutes on a Monday on the homework from her teacher and then gets a lot of extra tasks from me every night. Top right: The IXL website for maths has been brilliant – Hahgoot loves it and the arguments are a thing of the past. Bottom right: I found her a workbook about English idioms she liked.

  2. Maths homework: Left: the “Maths Demon” quirky software Top right: an Australian workbook for year 3 and 4 Bottom right: A game to practice place value

  3. Hahgoot didn’t get her award for nothing... Her reading is certainly astounding, in width and in depth. Here she is enjoying Jack London’s “Call of the Wild” (left) and Charles Dickens’ “Oliver Twist”.

  4. Left: enjoying Geronimo Stilton’s adventures in Rome

  5. Hahgoot has been enjoying her reading in Hebrew as well, especially Galila Ron-Feder’s “Time Tunnel” series about Israel’s history. Misty enjoys Hahgoot’s reading too...

  6. They both enjoy their daily hour reading on the sofa

  7. Right: reading “The Phantom Tollbooth” by Norton Juster in Hebrew, which is all based on puns and word play, with a lot of imagination and humour. Bellow left: Hahgoot finished the Premier’s reading challenge (did level 3-4)

  8. Hahgoot also enthusiastically filled up reading club forms at the library and won a goodies bag and a pen that writes with invisible ink and has a UV flashlight! Super cool stuff!

  9. Top right: using the BJE’s Hebrew months to solve a crossword puzzle in Hebrew Bottom right: writing a song in Hebrew (text above).

  10. Right: learning about the book of Genesis with a workbook from Israel Left: writing a story following a series of pictures (in Hebrew)

  11. Right: Hahgoot was enthusiastic about “Party Day” at school In our next presentation: Some more of Hahgoot’s news
