Vocabulary • Apartheid (n) – an official policy of racial segregation in South Africa, now ended, that discriminated against people who were not white • Boycotted (v) – refused to buy or take part in something in order to make a point or force a change • Colonized (v) – established an area or a country that was ruled by or belonged to another country • Dignity (n) – worthiness of respect or esteem • Protesting (v) – expressing strong disagreement or disapproval • Reconciliation (n) – the process of two or more people or groups settling a disagreement and becoming friendly again
