  2. WEER/WEATHER • Die Aarde se atmosfeer is konstant in beweging en dit veroorsaak ons weer. The Earth’s atmosphere is in constant movement and this movement cause our weather. • Weer kan gedefinieer word as die dag tot dag atmosferiese toestande op ‘n bepaalde plek en tyd. Weather can be defined as the day-to-day atmospheric condition at a spesific place and time. • Weer kan ervaar word as koue of hitte, wind, wolkbedekking, mis en reën ens. Weather can be experienced as cold or heat, wind, cloud coverage, mist and rain etc.

  3. ‘n Persoon wat WEER bestudeer is ‘n METEOROLOOG A person who studies WEATHER is a METEOROLOGISTS. • Meteoroloeë voorspel die weer amper daagliks vir ‘n gegewe area. Meteorologists predict the weather almost daily for a spesific area. • Weer voorspelling het heelwat bevorder gedurende die laaste 50 jaar maar meteoroloë het weer opnames vir die laaste twee dekades Weather predictions has developed considerately during the last 50 years but meteorologists have weather reports for the last two decades.

  4. KLIMAAT/CLIMATE • Klimaat kan gedefineer word as the gemiddelde weer omstandighede van ‘n plek. Gemiddelde word oor ‘n 20 – 30 jaar periode gemeet. Climate can be defined as the avarege weather conditions of a place. A climatologist who specializes in ancient climates, incidentally, is known as a paleoclimatologist.
