  1. Purple Stride Walk for Pancreatic Cancer Possible Sponsors: WakeMed, Cary Hospital, Glaxo Smith Kline Team: Quavis Johnson and Conner Redick

  2. THE EVENT • Our target market for this event are people that have pancreatic cancer, people that support pancreatic cancer improvement, people who care about others, and people that like to run/walk. • May 17, 2014 ● NC State - Centennial Campus ● 5K Run/Walk

  3. Segmentation • Geographic- We will target people that live in the Raleigh/Durham/Triangle Area. We target these people because they are close to the event and are more likely to come. 74% of people are more likely to come to an event if they live closer. Pancreatic cancer appears mostly in males ages 35-6o. • Demographic- This event will target males and females mainly age 21 and up, because that is when pancreatic cancer usually appears in humans. The average income of the average person projected to come to this event is $40,000. The adults may bring their children, so we will have a bouncy house and many other childrens’ games. 46% of attendees are males ages 35-60. • Psychographic- We will target people that enjoy supporting the cause of finding a cure for pancreatic and other types of cancer. Also, people that enjoy getting out in the community and helping out with events like this. • Behavioral- This event targets people loyal to coming to events in the community. These people are loyal to supporting pancreatic cancer and would love to do all they can to help stop it.

  4. Sponsorships • Products used in the event are Dasani water bottles, and event t-shirts that have the event on the front and all event sponsors on the back. People would also be interested in some pins to remember this event. In the past, Coca Cola and Sam’s Club have sponsored this event. This is different from past events because it is the first 5k in the Raleigh Durham area for Pancreatic Cancer. We want to attract all supporters from the triangle area.
