  3. TST Mission Provide direct and indirect Tactical Support. Quick Reaction Force, Emergency Medical Support and limited Vehicle recovery capability for all Chief of Mission and other designated Coalition Forces in our area of operations.

  4. Team Member DUTIES AND RESPONSABLITIES

Driver • Overall Maintenance of vehicle prior to mission • Check fuel levels • Check belts • Tire pressure • Know how each vehicle handles and drives • BFT checks • Maintenance cards • Get vehicle dispatched on time • Keep track of fuel cards • Coordinate with mechanics on vehicle problems and status • Know TST vehicle configurations and configurations on contact • Have the ability to drive in “black out” condition w/ NVGs in an expedient manner.

  6. Turret PSS • Proper maintenance of mounts and heavy weapons prior to mission • Know proper DoS handling procedures for the M240 • Prepare reserve ammo • Know fields of fire • Prepare water bottles and pen flares • Listen to TC for turns and routes in order to direct traffic properly • Keep NVGs serviceable and ready in the even the team operates at night.( night ops) • Have white light to direct traffic ( night ops) • Know how to operate Rhino Arm and ensure its proper function prior to mission

  7. Fire Team • Assist Turret PSS and drivers with pre mission routine • Get ice and water for vehicle • Know roles and responsibilities of all other members of your team • Know proper DoS handling procedures for the M249, M240 • Know location and how to operate jacks/spare tire, breaching equipment, and how to hook vehicles up for tow • Know CQC/ principle extraction (PRE) SOP. • Assist Medic with wounded ( ERV fire team is primary ) • Charge the jaws of life every Friday • Responsible for proper load out of ammo, smokes, water, MRE’s in each vehicle. (Per SOP) • Properly operate ECM ( Electronic Counter Measures) • Help with sterilizing downed or abandoned vehicle • Ensure conex and other vehicles used as storage are locked before departing patriots staging area.

  8. A-Driver/Vehicle Commander • Assists other team members with pre- mission routine • Overall in charge of vehicle • Ensures ground guides are utilized for all movements in secured areas, ie… Patriots Staging area.

  9. Intel PSS • Is responsible for collecting and dissemination all intelligence relevant to PSS movements within Rave 23’s AOR. This includes but is not limited to; Past history of threats on venue, treats on routes to and from venue, and possible insurgents plan of action.

  10. Tactical Commander • Plans safe and tactical routes to and from staging points/ Safe havens en-route to and from venues • Coordinates with Air and PSD teams in distress as to location, direction of contact, and landing zones • In charge of tactical motorcade • TST Tactical Commander will direct all mounted tactical operations.

  11. Shift leader • Overall in charge of briefs, meeting times, missions, training, personnel, and coordination with assigned ARSO • Coordinates with TOC on status of team, and conducts BFT checks prior to departure • Deploys with fire team and is responsible for all dismounted operations • Ensure that PSS are mentally/physically prepared for each mission with proper equipment

Fire Team Members • Fire team members will deploy from the Lead, ERV, Command, and Follow. • Fire team members are responsible for providing additional security on the ground. • Fire team members will assist the team medic with recovering wounded personnel, sanitizing the down vehicle, and breaching if necessary. • SAW Gunner from Lead and Follow may deploy and provide security for the weak side.

  33. Fire Team Members • At the direction of the Shift Leader, fire team members will deploy to assist with securing the HLZ. • The TST medic will advise how many fire team members he will need to assist with the cross loading of the wounded. *Before approaching the aircraft, ground personnel WILL make eye contact with the Door Gunner. Fire team members will follow all instructions from the door gunners.

  34. Standard Fields Of Fire LG Lead RG *Keep in mind, if a contact should occur (small arms fire, ied, etc.) while moving, lead gunners (lg) and rear gunners (rg) need to be keying off each other and cover opposite fields of fire. The up gunners (ug) in the bearcats cannot see each other because of the hatch door and therefore can not tell which side the other is covering. To prevent all gunners from getting focused on the initial threat, the lg and rg need to communicate with each other and the other gunners. At least one needs to cover the rear of the motorcade and watch for a secondary attack. UG ERV/ UG Command/ LG FOLLOW RG

  37. TACTICAL TRANSPORTATION TEAM

  38. MISSION • To provide a safe and tactical escort for DoS personnel and equipment to and from BIAP.

  39. TTT Capabilities • TTT can provide tactical transport of 12 or more personnel (baggage dependent) to and from secure areas as required. • TTT has the capability to defend against and repel an enemy attack. • TTT has the ability to provide immediate medical treatment of injured.

  40. Mission Brief • A mission brief will be conducted prior to each TTT movement. • All TTT personnel and passengers will be in attendance. • The mission brief will be conducted in the standard five paragraph order (SMEAC). • During the mission brief, PAX will be assigned to a vehicle, identified to their respective vehicle commander, and given instructions for their actions in the event of a mechanically disabled vehicle and / or enemy attack. • Use of force and escalation of force will be briefed verbatim per the DoS Mission Firearms Policy.

  41. Vehicle Load Out Each TTT vehicle will contain the following: • Turret mounted M-240 and minimum of 1200 rounds of linked ammunition. • One M-249 SAW and a minimum of 1200 rounds of linked ammunition. • Six smoke grenades. • Two HC smoke grenades. • One case of MRE’s. • Vehicle medical kit. • One case of water.

  42. TTT Personnel Load Out Each member of the TTT will carry on his person the following: • 10 magazines of 5.56 • 3 magazines of 9mm • M-4 • Glock • Body Armor • Blow out kit • Identification Cards • Radio with surveillance kit • GPS/Map

  43. Each passenger will be expected to arrive for transport with the following clothing / equipment: Body armor Kevlar helmet Close toe shoes Long pants ID cards * Weapons and ammo will not be provided. Passenger Load Out(PAX)

  49. Tactical Transport Team Member Responsibilities • Fire Team Members are to ensure the safety of PAX in the vehicles • Take control of the PAX in the event of an incident. • A Fire Team Member WILL sit at the back door of the vehicle to ensure that the PAX do not exit the vehicle. • Fire Team Members will take control of all crew served weapons and any other team equipment that are in direct reach of the PAX. • It is the responsibility of all TTT members to remain cool and calm during any situation.
