Instructions On Adjusting Facebook Privacy Settings

Goal

  • The goal of these instructions is to raise awareness for the availability of privacy settings for personal photo albums posted on Facebook, and to provide instructions for how to use them successfully.

  • In November 2008, a photo of Michael Phelps allegedly smoking marijuana surfaced on a social networking website. As a result, this 14-time Olympic gold medalist was forced to make a public apology, costing him important sponsorships and his reputation as a highly sought after a role model.
