Distributed Community Engine The Distributed Community Engine is based on the three-tier model for the separation of interface, application and database layers. This enables the deployment of multiple independent database and application servers, as well as decentral y managed interfaces, as part of the overall distributed system of netzspannung.org. Each user can run his/her own server with an own set of functionalities. The distributed engine supports CORBA, SOAP and HTTP as communication protocols between individual modules.
