  3. “To the world you may be just a teacher, but to the school, you are one of the greatest assets” The most important responsibility of PGT (CS) as a teacher is classroom teaching of Computer Science / Informatics Practices/ Website Designing and Multimedia. As per need the class room teaching of other classes.

  4. Maintenance and Upkeep of Computer labs Computer labs are vital part of ICT Infrastructure. Labs are used for Teaching Learning Process, Practicalsetc. Labs Reflect the true implementation of ICT in a Vidyalaya and the vision of a computer teacher. Labs must be connected via a network. All Systems must be functioning properly. Labs must be neat and clean. Labs must be upgraded as per State of Art technology. Computer teacher must maintain liaison with AMC contractor and get the repairs done.

  5. Maintenance and Upkeep of e-Classrooms E-Classrooms have opened a new dimension for teachers in class room teaching. Many concepts which need visualization are taught in the best possible manner using this facility. Regular monitoring is needed for these e-Classrooms. In case of any hardware/software problem Computer teacher must arrange some personnel to remove it. Training of Teachers taking classes must be arranged from time to time so that they are aware of any new changes or remove their doubts in handling all the equipments.

  6. Regular updation of Vidyalaya Website Website of the vidyalaya acts as an interface between the vidyalaya and the outer world. A website having old information or which is not updated reflects the image of the vidyalaya in a bad manner. Hence it should be updated regularly. Enrolment position, Staff Details, Vacancy Position of Staff, images of current activities and information for mandatory disclosure(Admission details etc) must be regularly updated.

  7. Ensuring the completion of syllabus of computer in lower classes Computer in lower classes is generally being taught by Computer Instructor. As the head of IT department PGT(CS) must regularly check whether the computer instructor is teaching properly and must ensure that the syllabus is completed properly. Random checking of the classes can be done for this purpose.

  8. Promotion of Computer Literacy among Students and Staff Though the number of computer literate persons are growing day by day, still there is a need of promoting computer education for students and staff. Technology changes day by day and PGT(CS) is the best person who can keep staff updated by holding different sessions for them. In this way more and more persons will join hands and the team of the vidyalaya will become stronger for any computer related work.

  9. Condemnation of IT Equipments The IT Sector is advancing in a rapid manner. The age of IT equipment's is very less in terms of technology. KVS has defined the ideal student computer ratio and life of IT equipment. A regular Condemnation process is required to maintain this . So once in a year this process must be done.

  10. Non-Academic Responsibilities

  11. As a leader in IT IT plays a major role in latest scenario. KVS is also following the trend. The digitalization mission of KVS needs technically sound professionals. This is high time when PGT(CS) can hone their leadership skills by playing an innovative, proactive and positive role in their vidyalayas. Future belongs to the technocrats only.
