So far we have: Set up a bullying questionnaire Helped to make school meals healthier Helped shape the future of the school Helped to make a better environment in school Paid for water fountains Raised money for refurbishing toilets

We should drink two litres a day It will improve concentration and reaction time By the time you feel thirsty you are already 10% slower!

So far we have got: Water fountains A jacket potato machine Improved toilets Proposals for a breakfast club Promotion of healthy eating Restricted the sale of fried chips Labels on sandwiches Stopped the sale of crisps and chocolates More benches More litter bins Wonderful new buildings

The school council decided to survey the whole school Nearly 600 people took part in the survey We wanted to know what ideas you had for healthier meals.
Which improvement would you most like to see made in the school canteen?Slide 12:Drinks
People wanted squash, hot drinks and Calypso style soft drinks. This would be simple to introduce and would mean its easier to get to the target of 8 glasses a day Theses drinks would need to be healthy without too much sugar (i.e. not fizzy drinks)

Second highest request, with 136 votes was a greater variety of meals. We then asked which meals people would like

If you have any positive suggestions for the school council then please make sure your forms representative knows. We need to know how you think we can make the school even healthier!
