Cellular Organization: multicellular; have cell walls- each cell is encased in a carbohydrate called chitin, which protects the fungus from digesting itself.

Reproduction: Asexually; spores produced in a club- shaped structure called a sporangium. Sexually; reproductive structure forms at point where hyphae join.

Method of Obtaining Food: consumer; heterotroph-saprophyte-absorbs dead decaying tissues of other organisms using hyphae and digestive enzymes.
