  3. HPW Performance Diagrams

  4. Emptying the HPW pump • You can run the HPW pumps without water. This makes it easy to empty the pumps to prevent it for freezing. -It is possible to pump some glycol with the pump to avoid freezing • Disconnect the suction line, open pressure line and run the pump. It is important to disconnect the suction line, not close it. Pump must get air to the suction line when emptying!

  5. Most common problems with HPW pumps • Too small suction line -> cavitation • Too long suction hose -> cavitation • Too slack suction line, hose will flatten and blocks the line -> cavitation • Air leakage in suction hose -> pump is not running smoothly • Dirty filter -> cavitation • Broken filter -> wearing of the seals + water pistons • Filter missing totally (you must use filter always, even if used clear tap water) -> wearing of the seals + water pistons • Leakage detectors are not checked regularly -> too worn seals can cause mixing of water + oil • Too high oil flow -> over speed -> damage to the pump • Too small nozzle compared to oil flow -> damage the unloader valve

  6. Most common problems with generators • Assembly place too dirty / uncovered -> oxidation, wearing of the winding (for example installation to truck chassis) • Assembly place too closed -> over heating (not enough ventilation) • Too high oil return line pressure / return line not connected directly to tank but goes through some valves or too small line -> shaft seal leakage • Oil flow too low or too high if not used correct DYNASET-valve -> incorrect rotation speed -> incorrect frequency and voltage • Cross connection of pressure and tank line -> shaft seal damaged

  7. Common installation instructions • Install hydraulic hoses so that they can not rub off • Hydraulic hoses must be covered with protective sleeve if working distance is less than one meter (3.3 feet) • In maintenance use only original Dynaset spare parts! - for example seals may be wrong material and they do not work properly (HPW seal kit, shaft seal kit) • In pressure compensator installation bolts must be cross tightened, otherwise compensator may bend and it does not work properly. • Make sure that there is enough cooling capacity in hydraulic system • Hydraulic system maintenance, oil + filter change regularly

  8. Hydraulic requirements • Remember to check hydraulic requirements for every product!
