  1. PSALM 92 A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath day. 1It is good to give thanks to the LORD,         And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;2 To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning,         And Your faithfulness every night, 3 On an instrument of ten strings,         On the lute, and on the harp,          With harmonious sound.4 For You, LORD, have made me glad through Your work;         I will triumph in the works of Your hands. 5 O LORD, how great are Your works!         Your thoughts are very deep.6 A senseless man does not know,         Nor does a fool understand this.7 When the wicked spring up like grass,         And when all the workers of iniquity flourish, It is that they may be destroyed forever.

  2. 8 But You, LORD, are on high forevermore.9 For behold, Your enemies, O LORD,         For behold, Your enemies shall perish;          All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. 10 But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox;         I have been anointed with fresh oil.11 My eye also has seen my desire on my enemies;         My ears hear my desire on the wicked          Who rise up against me.           12 The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree,         He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.13 Those who are planted in the house of the LORD         Shall flourish in the courts of our God.14 They shall still bear fruit in old age;         They shall be fresh and flourishing,15 To declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

  3. Exodus 20 8 “ Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

  4. Romans 14 4 Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.5 One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks.

  5. The Sabbath was made for Man, not Man for the Sabbath. Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath. Did God need six days to create the heavens and the earth? But why six and not some other number? 4. Did God need to rest on the seventh day? Then why the command to rest? SABBATH Details

  6. Genesis 3 17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’:       “ Cursed is the ground for your sake;       In toil you shall eat of it       All the days of your life. 18 Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you,      And you shall eat the herb of the field. 19 In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread      Till you return to the ground,       For out of it you were taken;       For dust you are,      And to dust you shall return.”

  7. 2 Peter 3 8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

  8. Romans 8 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. 24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

Luke 14 26 "If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. 27 "And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. * * * 33 "So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

  14. PSALM 92 5 O LORD, how great are Your works!         Your thoughts are very deep.6 A senseless man does not know,         Nor does a fool understand this.7 When the wicked spring up like grass,         And when all the workers of iniquity flourish, It is that they may be destroyed forever.

  15. PSALM 92 8 But You, LORD, are on high forevermore.9 For behold, Your enemies, O LORD,         For behold, Your enemies shall perish;          All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

  16. PSALM 92 10 But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox;         I have been anointed with fresh oil.11 My eye also has seen my desire on my enemies;         My ears hear my desire on the wicked          Who rise up against me.

  17. EPHESIANS 6 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

  18. PSALM 92 12 The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree,         He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.13 Those who are planted in the house of the LORD         Shall flourish in the courts of our God.14 They shall still bear fruit in old age;         They shall be fresh and flourishing,15 To declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

  19. PSALM 1 1 Blessed is the man         Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,          Nor stands in the path of sinners,          Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,         And in His law he meditates day and night.3 He shall be like a tree         Planted by the rivers of water,          That brings forth its fruit in its season,          Whose leaf also shall not wither;          And whatever he does shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so,         But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,         Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous,         But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

  20. JOHN 15 5 "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. 9 " As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. 10 "If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. 11 "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.
