Survey Summary • According to ARC’s PLM Survey, even though the awareness of PLM solutions’ benefits are widespread, the adoption of complete range of PLM solutions in industries in India is only 37% • The manufacturing companies which deployed complete range of PLM solutions are the business leaders in their respective markets • In spite of the fact that the adoption rate is low, manufacturing companies are very positive towards deploying complete range of PLM solutions

Recommendations Industries in India need to: • Eliminate the disconnect between production operations and engineering design-build systems • Seek robust integration between Design/PDM (product data management) and their shop floor production systems. • Seek global competitiveness and recognize that technology is an enabler • Invest in PLM solutions to close the gap between innovation, strategy, and execution so that the business opportunity is not lost
