  7. GSM intervention SPS Sunrise needs to intervene on the 2G/3G BTSs feeding SPS points 1,2,5 and 7 in order to improve the system redundancy and perform some electrical maintenance in their UPS (the BTSs are on the surface). There could be from 30 minutes to 1 hour downtime per site. Mobile communications (GSM and 3G) in the site where the intervention is ongoing will be down (tunnel and surface). The access and TETRA systems won’t be affected. They plan to do this work next week (week19) between 12:00 and 14:00. SPS.Technical-Coordination@Cern.ch

  17. EPC tests of the Auxiliary Converters • With this planning, OP can start the commissioning of the Software with a 1 week delay from our activities: e.g, OP tests for BA2 could start on 9th June.    • Whatweneed: • The magnet interlocks shall be tested in May by MPE (R.Mompo/P.Dahlen): support from EPC is requested during this period, • Services shall be present in each BA in time: water (magnet + surface building), no consignation (except BA1 until end of June), • A general signalisation that some tests are ongoing: coordination EPC/MSC, • EIS (https://edms.cern.ch/document/991272): from past experiences, this is a difficult point for us during our tests, especially for TI2/TI8. I propose that when the planning is agreed on, Marc Tavlet will be contacted by EPC. SPS.Technical-Coordination@Cern.ch

  27. False floors lifted in Surface BAs • Below is a table showing the dates that EL will be pulling cables at each point of the SPS. • During these periods large sections of the false floor in these surface buildings will be lifted. • Any works in the BA’s that involve lifting of the false floors MUST be reported to the Coordination team • If you require access to racks or other equipment in the surface buildings during these periods you must check with planning first. SPS.Technical-Coordination@Cern.ch

  28. Engineering Change Requests • Any and all new equipment being installed in the SPS requires an ECR BEFORE it can be installed. It must also be approved by planning and coordination. • Templates and Guidelines for Engineering Change Requests: • EDMS: 1271880 • SPS ECR template (in DFS): • https://dfsweb.web.cern.ch/dfsweb/Services/DFS/DFSBrowser.aspx/Applications/CERN/Workgroup%20Templates/SPS/ECR-Template-SPS.dotx SPS.Technical-Coordination@Cern.ch

  35. A.O.B. • Please make sure you fill out your IMPACTS correctly!!!! And in plenty of time!!!!!! • The intervention period is “LS1-SPS” Do not put “OPERATION 2013” or leave it blank as no one will sign it. • With the exception of BA80, no IMPACT should have an end date after the 27th June 2014 • Do not just put SPS for you location. Be more specific! • There are currently 45IMPACTs that are “LATE”. If you have completed your work then you need to close the related IMPACT. • If you have ANY concerns about not being complete before the 27th June 2014. I need to know about it NOW!!!! • Its very important to ensure that you leave the work site clean and tidy and that you put any rubbish in the correct bins. SPS.Technical-Coordination@Cern.ch
