  2. The Indirect Object • In English the indirect object follows the verb just as Direct Object does. • Indirect Object is the person or thing to whom or for whom the action is performed. • Ex.) I write a letter (direct object) “to my friend” (indirect object) • Indirect object gets the Direct object.

  3. What to do when there are two verbs in a sentence • When you have two verbs you can always put it directly in front of the conjugated • Ex: Yo le voy a dar un regalo. (a Maria) • However, now that you have two verbs you have two different options • You can attach the pronoun to the end of an infinitive or a present participle • Ex: Yovoy a darle un regalo. (a Maria)

  5. Activity • Change from English to Spanish and use the correct indirect object pronoun. • My mother packs the clothes for me. • Who makes food for you? • She tells us to work. • Lola reads to them. • George buys a shirt for Claudia. • Gloria helps the tourist find the bathroom.
