  1. MLA Style Examples Every piece of information that comes from another source must have an in-text citation. Every source used must have a works cited entry.

  2. Reason: Natural fluctuations in climate are not harming animal populations. • Evidence: “Drikus Gissing, director of wildlife management for the Nanavut region, told the Globe and Mail. ‘the bear population is not in crisis as people believed. There is no doom and gloom.’” (Charen) • Commentary: This is one of many studies that demonstrate that wildlife like polar bears and emperor penguins are indeed secure or even rising in population. The idea that climate change has harmed their existence is false and those who propose that it a big problem often ignore studies like this one.

  3. Evidence: Animal species are able to evolve and adapt to slow environmental changes like this one. “we know that species have actually evolved — experienced a change in gene frequency in the population -- in response to global warming..” (Brosseau) • Commentary: Animal populations are much more stable than many people think. Their ability to survive change has been demonstrated over millions of years. Minor fluctuations in the world’s climate are not a significant threat to them.
