  2. The Great Smoky Mountains straddles the border between Tennessee and North Carolina. The mountains cover 521,085.66 acres.

  3. The Great Smoky Mountains is a place were there are mountains , rivers, streams , and waterfalls . The natural features are the rivers , steams ,waterfalls and mountains.

  4. The Barred owl The Barred owl is one of the many birds of the Great Smoky Mountains. It has adapted to the environment by camel flashing into trees , their talons to catch their prey and they have the ability to fly silently

  5. Salamanders Salamanders are another type of animal that lives in the Smoky mountains. One adaptation is that they can regrow their body parts. Another is that they have gills when they first hatch. Some salamanders have two legs instead of fore .

  6. Black bares also live in the smoky mountains. A adaptation is that they are able to eat a big variety of food that helps them live in different environments. When they are in hibernation they are able to slow down their heart rate when it is a sertant temperature. They are able to too survive in almost any habitat. BlackBares

  7. The brook trout(Salmo trutta) The brook trout is the only native trout to the smoky mountains.
