  2. LEONARDO DA VINCI MOBILITY ACTION IS … a decentralized action and it is managed by the National Agency designated by the National authority of the country concerned. 2

  3. MOBILITY IN THE FRAMEWORK OF LEONARDO DA VINCI SECTORIAL PROGRAMME IS … SPENDING A PERIOD OF TIME IN ANOTHER PARTICIPATING COUNTRY, IN ORDER TO UNDERTAKE WORKING OR TRAINING ACTIVITY, SUPPORTED AS APPROPRIATE BY PREPARATORY OR REFRESH COURSES IN THE HOST LANGUAGE OR VEHICULAR LANGUAGE. 3

IVT – PLM – VETPRO MOBILITY ACTIONS Specific and Operational Leonardo da Vinci objectives To support participants in training and further training activities in the acquisition and the use of knowledge, skills and qualifications to facilitate personal development, employability and participation in the Labour Market. To support improvements in quality and innovation in vocational education and training systems, institutions and practices; To enhance the attractiveness of vocational education and training and mobility of individuals and to facilitate mobility of working trainees. 4

Leonardo da Vinci Sectorial Programme may include twotypes of mobility: • TRANSNATIONAL PLACEMENTS in enterprises or in training institutions consisting of a period of vocational training and or work experience undertaken by an individual participant in an enterprise or a training institution in another participating country • PLACEMENTS AND EXCHANGES aimed at the further professional development of trainers and guidance counselors, and at those responsible for training establishments and for training planning and career guidance within enterprises. Participants will exchange experiences with their counterparties in other countries with the specific aim of mutual learning, transfer, improvement and update of competences and/or of innovative methods and practices in the field of vocational training.

  7. IVT – INITIAL VOCATIONAL TRAINING • Who can benefit? • TRAINEES IN INITIAL VOCATIONAL TRAINING: • APPRENTICES • PUPILS IN VOCATIONAL TRAINING • TRAINEES EXCEPT IN HIGHER EDUCATION • How long? • Minimum : 2 weeks • Maximum: 39 weeks 7

  8. PLM PEOPLE IN THE LABOUR MARKET • Who can benefit? • WORKERS • SELFEMPLOYED • PEOPLE AVAILABLE FOR EMPLOYMENT • GRADUATES • How long? • Minimum : 2 weeks • Maximum: 26 weeks 8

  9. VETPRO - VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING PROFESSIONALS Who can benefit? Professionals in vocational education and training Teachers Trainers Vocational training staff Guidance counselors Responsibles for training establishments, training planning and occupational guidance within enterprises Human resources managers in enterprises How long? Minimum : 1 weeks Maximum: 6 weeks 9

  12. 1. SUBMISSION OF GRANT APPLICATION GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT UNDER THE DECENTRALIZED ACTION OF THE LIFELONG LEARNING PROGRAMME MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE NATIONAL AGENCY OF THE COUNTRY OF THE APPLICANT.

  13. APPLICATIONS ARE TO BE SUBMITTED BY INSTITUTIONS AND ORGANISATIONS AND NOT INDIVIDUALS THAT MUST HAVE THE STATUS OF LEGAL BODY.

FORMAL CRITERIA eligibility criteria • compliance with the submission procedures set out in the relevant Call of proposals • compliance with the deadlines set out in the relevant Call of proposals • compliance with the rules on the minimum/maximum duration of projects and minimum/maximum number of partners and countries involved

  16. eligibility criteria • involvement of at least one organisation located in a EU Member State, if an application is submitted by a consortium • being drawn up in one of the official languages of the European Union • being submitted exclusively using the correct official application form • inclusion of a grant request expressed in euro

  17. b.QUALITYCRITERIA selection criteria Selection criteria are used to assess whether the applicant organisation and the partnership have sufficient financial, professional, administrative capacity and stability to undertake the proposed activity.

Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) Call for proposals 2009 Strong emphasis is placed on the quality of the organisation of mobility, including pedagogical, linguistic and cultural preparation and arrangements for the stay abroad on the basis of the principles set out in the European Quality Charter for Mobility, in order to optimize the impact of the mobility experience.

CALL 2009: STRATEGIC PRIORITIES 1 IVT - PLM Priority will be given to: • projects organising mobility for trainees, i.e. persons in a dual apprenticeship system or other vocational education system basedon alternate learning or work-related training in enterprises 2 VETPRO Priority will be given to: • development of the competences of teachers, trainers and tutors • cooperation with SMEs

Letters of intent • The letter must not be hand-written • It must indicate: • the title of the project; • reference to the Leonardo da Vinci programme; • a brief description of the partner's role; • a consistency with the quality commitment of the partnership; • It must bear: • the date • the signature of an authorised person and her/his position within the organisation.
