An early priority for the NIMHE National Workforce Programme was to address this issue of ‘core skills for all the workforce’. A national project group of all stakeholders was set up to address the issue. Key partners were SCMH and NHSU. The work specifically built on the Capable Practitioner Framework, the National Occupational Standards [MH] and the developing KSF
