  6. Main sourcing areas • Sourcing from all continents • Reloading in Rotterdam / Amsterdam • Feeder ship to Bergen • About 20.000 tons raw materials to Arna yearly • From 6-700 raw materials, 30-40% are Norwegian • 50 – 50 by ship and other transport totally for Norway

  7. Sea way statistics 2011 Goods delivered at Bergen Havn. Containers (oversea): About 280 totally 2011 Divided in 260 40-feet and 17 20-feet containers 50 – 50 traded goods – raw materials

Transport arrangements • Transport is based on contracts made by our group purchasing dep. – hence booking is done by contracted partners • Normally the transporter arrange transport • This may include combination of truck, train and ship • Main user of common raw materials will supply other Rieber plants – normally done by truck • In general good experience by sea transport – but; • Example of lack of flexibility • We order rice from Italy – normally 5-6 week lead time by Maersk, frequent delays, limited quantity (13 tons) • Combination of train and ship via Rotterdam ; lead time 1,5 weeks, higher quantities (16,9 tons) and hence lower cost. • 2-3 times pr month, feeder ship is not loaded in time
