  1. Where Are My Leads Coming FromHow to have a conversation with your prospects Presented by: Jordan Hatch

  2. What is web analytics? It is the measurement, collection, analysis and reporting of internet data for purposes of understanding and optimizing web usage.

  3. What is a Lead Source? “Lead sources are specific methods or sources your company uses to attract qualified traffic to your website or location.”

  4. Why is it important to track them? When you track our lead sources, you can: • See where your traffic is coming from • Verify whether your content is having the desired effect • Better understand your Return on Investment (ROI) • Determine what is and is not working so you can better target your target audience

  5. How does it work?

  6. Where To Get The Code

  7. Wordpress Plugin • Infusionsoft Analytics for Wordpress – the ONLY officially supported Wordpress plugin • Automatically puts the Web Analytics code on every page of your site without having to edit the code • Uses the API to get the code and put it in place

  8. How Is It Different? Infusionsoft Web Analytics would show: Google Analytics would show: 2 page views 2 visitors Consider the following scenario: I send you an email with a link to my website. You get that email on your phone and click the link. You browse a few pages on my site. A little while later, you decide you want to look again, so you open the email on your laptop, pull up my email, and click the link again. You browse the site some more. • 2 page views • 1 contact / customer Infusionsoft can track site visits down to the individual

  9. Visitors, Contacts & Customers • Visitors – site traffic that we can’t tie to a specific contact yet • Contacts – we know who they are but don’t have any orders / subscriptions tied to their contact record • Customers – we know who they are and they have an order / subscription tied to their contact record

  10. Linking A Visitor Record To A Contact? • Clicking a link in an email • Filling out a webform • Ordering something via order form or shopping cart purchase Basically, they have to do something that tells us exactly who they are

  11. What Can We Do With The Data?

  12. Creative Uses Of The Tracking Code • Main website – should be on every page of the site • Landing pages – setup landing pages just for promotions from specific sources (ie. Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook etc.) • Secondary sites (ie. Blogs, Forums, Articles, Membership Sites etc.) • Facebook Tab – use a landing page to capture leads from Facebook

  13. Facebook Landing Page Example Follow this simple 3 step process: • Create a Landing Page in Infusionsoft • Add the Static Iframe App by WooBox to your Facebook Page (only works with pages, not profiles) • Use the URL to the Landing Page as the page for your Tab
