  7. What made her famous? • 1868 wrote and published the first edition of “Little Women” • This book has also been made into a movie.

  8. Important Events • Nov. 29, 1832 Born in Germantown • 1855 – Goes to Boston to earn money • Oct. 1, 1868 published “Little Women” part 1 • March 6, 1888 – Dies in Boston

  9. Summary Louisa May Alcott grew up poor and moved around a lot with her family. She found a love for writing and began her career by writing “Little Women.” She faced many hardships and also helped raise her niece. She persevered and made it through. We can learn a lot from her.
