  1. Gunbalanya Oral History Project Aim To record the life stories of Gunbalanya and outstation-based elders in their local dialects and to have these stories transcribed and translated into English. Purpose To produce a unique and comprehensive archive documenting the history of Gunbalanya and related regions and the stories of Indigenous life in these areas. All transcribed and translated interviews will be lodged with the Gunbalanya community art centre (Injalak Arts and Crafts Association) for later inclusion in a local community cultural centre. Copies of the transcribed interviews will also be lodged with the appropriate cultural institution (potentially a museum, archive or the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies).
