  2. Sing a New Song Psalm 96:1-2 Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! 2 Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day.

  3. What do we Tell of…. His Salvation …. Not “our” salvation, notice… the measure is God, notice… the emphasis on God’s Grace in Christ

  4. Who do we Tell? Psalm 96:3 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!

  5. Why do we so Tell? Psalm 96:4 For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods.

  6. What we tell… Part 2… Psalm 96:7-8 Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength! 8 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering, and come into his courts!

  7. What is this whole process called? Psalm 96:9 Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth!

  8. More to Declare… Psalm 96:10 Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns! Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.”

  9. Why Should we do all This? #1 We are commanded to do so --- but …. Why are we so commanded? • it establishes our purpose in this life – it is how we feed the sheep -- it is how we are instruments in God’s hands to bless others

  10. The Reasons…. #2 If you love another person what greater thing can you share with them than God’s Salvation God’s Glory God’s Sovereign Reigning over all of reality

  11. This is not Just Evangelism…. In fact, it is not even primarily Evangelism --- there are over 40 Discipleship verses in the Bible for every 1 Evangelism verse

  12. From Proverbs Proverbs 9:9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.

  14. All this is really…. Celebrating Christ with those we care for… both saved and unsaved
