  8. My Opinion - I think that a society should intervene for many reasons and during many different circumstances. Based on what we know and learned about human rights, a society should only intervene when human rights are being violated, when peace is being disrupted, or freedoms are being corrupted. Society can intervene in a variety of ways depending on the circumstances. In my opinion, society should intervene on an individual’s freedom peacefully. By peacefully I mean by either making a law about the situation or having an important meeting or discussion. Intervening on another society, however, could be much more violent situations such as going to war. Going to war can be caused by a variety of different problems. I think that if a major problem occurring in society is causing even more problems then an intervention should be able to occur. If the problem is causing no harm and not causing too many disruptions, disagreements, or problems then I don’t think an intervention should take place.
