Requirements for college entrance

Requirements for College Entrance

Cumulative GPA is calculated for grades 9-12.

Beginning with the Class of 2010, Stillwater Area High School has a dual ranking system for grading in all of our Advanced Placement (AP) and College in the Schools (CIS) courses. These courses are weighted with a 1.2 multiplier to establish the weighted rank. SAHS awards academic letters to students who earn a GPA of 3.6 or above.

Decile ranges

Decile Ranges

  • Purpose of Deciles: The decile system is used in place of class rank so colleges can estimate where in the class the student fell.

  • Decile Calculation; The decile system shows which tenth of the class the student falls based on his/her GPA.
