  7. Tender process • May/June budget commitments (?) • July/August – co-design procurement • September/October – applications open • November – applications close • March 2020 – Outcomes announced • July 2020 – New service/funding

  8. We need both levels of Government to commit to continued funding…in their2019-2020 budgets

  9. Getting the best outcomes…? • Using evidence • Relationship with funders • Thinking about competition • Tendering skills • Working in partnership/collaboration • Considering the ‘big picture’

  10. Develop a strategy for: • Getting the Queensland Labor Government to make a budget commitment • Getting a federal commitment from a Labor Government • Getting a federal commitment from an LNP Government • Designing (or influencing) an effective procurement process

  11. For each strategy, consider: • Who is the key decision-maker? • How can we influence them? • Who is the key messenger(s)? • What is the key message? [Framing, communications] • What can/should CLCQ do? • What can/should individual CLCs do? • What support/resources do centres need? • What support/resources can centres provide?
