Interview Questions:Student • Which classes were the hardest? • Is the courseload easy/hard? • If it is hard, what can I do to prepare myself for it? • What was the most important thing that you learned? • What do you believe is the purpose of this degree? • How did you manage balancing studying and personal time? • How long did it take you to get where you are? • Is there a high degree of demand for jobs in your field? • Is it a competitive field?

Interview Questions:Student • CS: How do I memorize code? • Nursing: How did you prepare for the entrance exam your sophomore year? • Speech: Are there a lot of clinicals? • Have you found places to intern or work while earning your degree? • What do you wish knew you as a freshman? • What did you do well? What do you wish you had done differently? • Are there jobs within the college department? • Which professors to take and avoid? • Sequence? • Has this path been what you thought it was going to be? • If you had it to do over again, would you do the same thing? • Is there anyone else I should speak to about this? • Does this field require a lot to critical thinking or is it more common sense-based? • Is there anything else you think I should know?

  7. Homework • Draft questions for your peer interview • Re-read Guide to Writing, pp. 125-145, with special attention paid to the profiles of Jon Favreau (pp. 130-132) and of Tommie Lindsey (pp. 143-145) • In-class discussion on Thursday
