War Pigs TPCASTT. By Logan Ruschke. Title. I think that the song’s title, “War Pigs,” gives a hint that the song will be about war and the people who want to make war, because pigs are stereotyped as messy, hungry, greedy and horrible, which they share with people who like war. Paraphrase.

  1. War Pigs TPCASTT By Logan Ruschke

  2. Title • I think that the song’s title, “War Pigs,” gives a hint that the song will be about war and the people who want to make war, because pigs are stereotyped as messy, hungry, greedy and horrible, which they share with people who like war.

  3. Paraphrase • Generals and politicians are evil people who start wars and make the poor people fight and die. Once too many people die, the generals and politicians beg for mercy when their day of judgement comes.

  4. Connotation • Rhyme • Simile (“Just like witches at black masses) (“Treating people just like pawns in chess”) • Repetition (“in their masses… at black masses”) • Hyperbole (“Now in darkness world stops turning”) • Metaphor (“Sorcerers of death’s construction”) • Alliteration (“Time will tell on their power minds”)

  5. Attitude • The song speaks out against war by describing the horrible events that happen during war, and the evil of people who wage it.

  6. Shift • The song shifts at the beginning of the song by switching from people who cause war to events of war (“Sorcerers of death’s construction/ In the fields the bodies burning”), and again at the end of the first stanza/verse to the next (Poisoning their brainwashed minds/Politicians hide themselves away).

  7. Title • I believe that my prediction was correct. The song does talk about war and the people who like to start it.

  8. Theme • The theme is that war and the people who start it are bad.
