  3. BASEBALL There is Baseball practice scheduled for today, May 8, 2013 from 3:00 to 4:30 pm.

  4. SOFTBALL There is Softball practice scheduled for today, May 8th from 3:00 to 4:30 pm.

  5. ` TRACK AND FIELD There is a Track and Field practice scheduled today, May 8th from 3:00 to 4:30 pm.

  6. TRACK AND FIELD The boys’ track and field team crushed Cranbury in Monday’s meet. There were many point scorers for the team. In the hurdles, Luke Olshevski took second. In the 100, Brian Wojton took first. In the mile, Bobby Hastie took first and Matt Carlin took third. In the 400, Cory Kale took first and Massimo Mazzella took third. In the 800, Bobby Hastie took first and Brent Grocott took third. In the 200, Brian Wojton took first and Brian Nodine took third. In the long jump, Cory Kale took first and Brian Wojton took second. In the high jump, Luke Olshevski took first, Cory Kale took second and Stephen Buonamassa took third. In the discus, Dylan Scholl took third. In the shot put, Alec Dawidowski took third. Congratulations boys!

In the mile, Sara Hutt took first, Delaney Potter took second, and Amanda Godfrey took third. In the 400, Sydney Flyge took first, Annie Brunner took second and Arianna Mondelli took third. In the 800, Marissa Grace took first and Clare Herrera took third. In the 200, Tessa Carlin took first, EnlinCarow took second and Aliyah Daniel took third. In the long jump, Tessa Carlin took first, EnlinCarow took second and Braith Dicker took third. In the high jump Lauren Kiszely took first, Sam Febles took second  and Tara DePula, Sydney Flyge and Casey Hopkins tied for third. In the discus, Maria Uzcategui took first. In the shot put, Maria Uzcategui took second and Jessica Smith took third.  Congratulations girls!

  8. POETRY CLUB There is a Poetry Club meeting scheduled for Wednesday, May 8th in Mrs. Tarasiewicz’s room A102 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.

  9. ACTIVITY DAY – CHOIR Friday, May 10th- 7th and 8th grade choir only.  Meet in the Media Center promptly so we can run the whole concert (remember it’s a long one!!!)

  10. STUDENT COUNCIL MEETING There will be a student council meeting on Wednesday, May 14th at 7:40 AM in room C102.

Talent Show Announcement It’s that time of year again!  It’s time to start preparing for the Talent Show!  The talent show will be held on the morning of June 19th, during Field Day.  Talent Show auditions will be held before and after school on Tuesday, May 21st and Wednesday, May 22nd.  All 6th, 7th and 8th grade students are welcome to audition for the talent show.  Any size group and any type of talent are welcome, as long as the presentation is school appropriate.  You may sign up for auditions from Monday, May 13th to Friday, May 17th during your lunch period.  The sign- up sheet for the talent show can be found on the stage.  Please sign your name next to your preferred audition time- first come, first served.

  12. Talent Show Announcement (Continued) • You will be asked to present two minutes of your talent to the student council during your audition.  You are required to turn in your talent show disclaimer form to Mrs. Schwartz and Ms. Manning at your audition.  Please take a disclaimer sheet (one per act) when you sign up for the talent show.  Disclaimer sheets can be found next to the sign-up sheet on the stage.  The number of participants that will be allowed to perform in the talent show will be announced during auditions.  • The auditions for the talent show will be held in the media center, so prepare accordingly.  Please be on time; if you are late or unprepared, you will not be allowed to audition.  If you are chosen to perform in the talent show, you must attend a mandatory dress rehearsal in the Cafetorium from 3-4pm on Tuesday, June 11th.
