  9. Advice from AP Students “AP courses fill a void in the sense that they provide an opportunity for learning for the sake of learning, by encouraging students to tackle subject matter beyond strict educational requirements. In this way, AP acts as a sort of outlet for intellectual curiosity and higher order thinking while also providing a strong foundation for university studies” McGill, Science “Take as many AP’s as you can. For courses related to your intended field of studies, it’s much better to learn the material for the first time in a small high school class environment than in a lecture hall with 600 other people. For areas which you don’t intend to pursue in depth, this could be your last opportunity to learn something new and interesting. ” McGill, History/Psychology
