  2. How would you describe me? • Deciduous/hardwood • Leaves 7-20cm long with double-serrate margins and an oblique base • Grows until frost hits • Grows to about 100 years old, 27 m tall • Gets a disease called “Dutch Elm Disease” • Vase shaped crown • Over hanging branches

  3. Where do I grow? • Moist deep soils • Mixed forests • Can live in temperatures as low as -42 degrees Celsius

  8. Some cool facts about me… • I used to grow to more than 3 times wider before my kind started to get Dutch elm disease • When building a house, a lot of people use me as a kind of wood for furniture • A main reason why my kind die is because of Dutch Elm Disease
