  4. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVESOF ACTIVITY AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE NETWORK • Supporting co-operation of RTD units carrying out research activity on air pollution and climate changes • Creating a forum for the exchange of information and dissemination or research results concerning the air pollution and climate changes • Supporting the participation of RTD units belonging to the Network in projects realized from Pre-accession Funds, EU Structural Funds and Cohesion Fund

  5. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVESOF ACTIVITY AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE NETWORK • Development and promotion of the significance of Polish researches in the field of air pollution and climate changes caused by changes in the emission of pollutants into the air and processes proceeding in the atmosphere on the territory of Poland in the European Research Area • Development, collection, processing and dissemination of scientific information within the scope of activity of the Network • Promotion of results and practical applications of the scientificresearches carried out within the Network • Development of international co-operation

  6. THEMATIC AREAS OF THE NETWORK • Changes in the emission of greenhouse gases and pollutants which are subject to international conventions • Analysis of changes in physico-chemical processes proceeding in the atmosphere resulting from changes in the pollutant emission • Modeling air pollutant concentrations on a local, regional andnational scale taking into account the emission change forecast • Monitoring of changes in the air quality, meteorological parameters and climate change elements which have an impact on global changes

  7. THEMATIC AREAS OF THE NETWORK • Demonstration techniques for spatial distribution of emissionchanges and climate change parameters • Sustainable development of cities and changes in the emission and urbanclimate • Changes in human exposure and biotic / abiotic components of theenvironment resulting from pollutant emission and climate changes • Technical and economical aspects of air pollutant emission reduction

  8. RESEARCH FIELDS • Ground ozone - global, regional and local aspects • Solid particles - climatic and health aspects • Various scales of climatic system changeability: detection, interpretation, modeling • Changes in chemical composition of the atmosphere - global, regional and local aspects • Climate of the urban areas: meteorological, technical and environmental conditions • Technical aspects of air pollution emission reduction and mitigation of human and ecosystem exposure for the air pollution
