Checklist for SuccessFreshman Year • Create a four year plan. • Talk with your counselor about graduation and ‘A – G’ requirements. • Enroll in challenging classes with support from your counselor. • Keep up on your grades! Strive for an ‘A’ or ‘B’ in all your classes. • Any ‘D’s or ‘F’s you will have to repeat the course for UC/CSU • Focus on your English and Math classes. • Attend tutoring if necessary. • Pass Math I. Remember that Math I can be a ‘gatekeeper’ class, is required for graduation, and is a foundational class for advanced Math and Science classes • Start thinking about your long term goals.

  8. Most Important Thing to Remember • Do well in your classes NOWso you have room in your high school schedule to take plenty of great electives. PASS YOUR CLASSES THE FIRST TIME!
