  2. Our Philosophy Using teacher-made, content specific, digital curricula to enhance the lessons in the classroom is a way to build in true differentiation, hold students to high standards, and ensure that ALL students are academically successful.

  7. Designing a Science Page Step #1—Inserting the Standards The foci for this science page are cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems. An overview of the common core standard is included. Feel free to include the standard on the content page. There is a text box on the template where you can copy and paste any or all of this information.

  8. Designing a Science Page Step #2—Embedding an Avatar Creating and using an avatar is a great way to hook students in and personalize their learning. Follow the steps to insert an introduction to this science focus on cells, tissue, organs, and organ systems.

  9. Designing a Science Page Step #3—Linking to Another Site There are so many amazing resources online for teachers to use! And let’s face it—there is no reason to reinvent the wheel when what you want to expose your students to has already been created. Follow these steps to insert a link to another site.

  10. Designing a Science Page Step #4—Practice! Insert the provided slideshow about cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems. It will be inserted the same way as the avatar because it has an embed code. Follow the steps for Embedding an Avatar to insert this slideshow.

  11. Designing a Science Page Step #5—Practice! Copy the link to a quiz assessing the information students have been exposed to. Follow the steps for Linking to Another Site to link to this assessment.

  12. Designing a Math Page Step #1—Inserting the Standards The Massachusetts State Standards that relate to this focus have been included. Feel free to include the standards on the wix content page. There is a text box on the template where you can copy and paste any or all of this information.

  13. Designing a Math Page Step #2—Embedding an Avatar Creating and using an avatar is a great way to hook students in and personalize their learning. Follow the steps below to insert an introduction to this math focus on Geometry.

  14. Designing a Math Page Step #3—Embedding a Movie Embedding a movie is the same as embedding an avatar, or anything else that comes with an embed code. Follow the steps to embed a geography movie that introduces students to geometry language, purpose, and relation to the real world.

Designing a Social Studies Page Step #1—Including the Standards The focus for this social studies page is Ancient and Classical Civilizations in the Mediterranean to the Fall of the Roman Empire. The Massachusetts State Standards that relate to this focus have been included. Feel free to include the standard on the content page. There is a text box on the template where you can copy and paste any or all of this information.

  17. Designing a Social Studies Page Step #3—Inputing a Slideshow Slideshows are a great way to present information to students and teach them the value and purpose of note taking skills. Follow the steps to insert a slideshow on Ancient and Classical Greece.

  18. Designing a Social Studies Page Step #4—Adding a Menu to the Slideshow Adding a menu to the slideshow makes navigating through the content much easier. For example, if students need to revisit a slide, the navigation system makes that easy for them. Follow the steps to add a navigation system to your slideshow.
