1. Skills Assessment Software that enables a quick and accurate assessment of a candidate’s skills in the following areas: • Typing • MS Office • Debtors and Creditors • Data Capture • Bookkeeping • PC Skills • Spelling • Numeracy by means of multiple choice questions and practical “live environment” tasks.

4. OVERVIEW At the end of each test a print-ready report is generated in a pdf file format. The report is also stored on the testing station for future retrieval.

Tests • Typing test: • Assesses speed in words per minute, and • Overall accuracy in terms of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors • Spelling test: • Determines the ability to spell words correctly • The candidate selects the correctly spelt word from a choice of two • Data Capture test: • Assesses ability to capture text, numbers & select from drop down menus • Candidates are graded on speed and accuracy

10. Tests • PC Skills test: • Evaluates computer knowledge and proficiency • Numeracy test: • Tests competency in mathematical skills • Series of multiple choice and practical questions • General Admin test: • A combination of Word, Typing and Basic PC skills test

11. Tests There are two tests available for each of the Office applications: • The ‘Basic’ test assesses a candidate’s proficiency at the Basic and • Intermediate competency levels. • The ‘Advanced’ test assesses a candidate’s proficiency up to and • including the Advanced level. The tests are graded in terms of Microsoft’s definitions of Basic, Intermediate and Advanced competency levels.
