OSHA approach • Recent OSHA case required UCLA to: • Provide a List of facilities • Provide a Laboratory Safety Manual • Ensure PI’s complete Laboratory safety programme (applies to visitors as well) within strict time frame • All laboratory personnel must be trained • Ensure SOP’s must in place and updated • PI’s to assessment of adequacy of PPE before starting work • Provide comprehensive auditing by H&S Team
