  1. Residential Insulation: How Much Is Needed? Insulation helps in making your home energy-efficient. And so, people are more biased towards insulating the parts of the house that seeps the heat like walls and attics. So, herein, we will learn about exactly how much insulation is needed for your home according to the insulation dealers. To understand how need insulation is needed for your home, you should first check whether the place is insulated at all. If it is, then you simply need to measure the area that needs that insulation and understand the type of insulation that is best for your place. Here are some pointers that will help you calculate how insulation you need to order from the insulation wholesale suppliers. Check if your place already has insulation. If it has, then check according to the industry standards if that is enough for making your house energy-efficient. If the insulation isn’t enough or isn’t covered for the entire place, then calculate the additional insulation your place needs. Measure the current depth of the insulation. For example, 12 inches of thickness is enough as per industry standards for R-38 insulation types. So, if you have only 5 inches deep insulation, then you need to add a sheet of 7 inches to get the required insulation. For ordering it from the insulation wholesale suppliers, you need to measure the length and width of the area, and then multiply them to get the square inch area as the orders are placed in square inches. Finally, decide on which type of insulation will work best for the area you need to be covered. Depending on the types you choose, you will need to place the perfect order to the insulation dealers. For example, cellulose insulation is normally ordered based on the depth whereas fiberglass one calculated as per rolls or batts.
