MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 2DATE: 2/27/08 Gas, LP & Diesel Before beginning to fill the radiator, make sure that the drain plug at the bottom of the radiator has been tightened. Use the dispenser that has been painted green to fill the radiator with ANTI-FREEZE (3301796). Remove the cap from the radiator and stick the end of the dispenser in the top of the radiator. Begin filling. The radiator will take approximately 4 Quarts. Drain Plug

DIESEL UNITS ONLY: Fill the Anti-Freeze overflow reservoir to approximately ½ full. Feed the overflow tube down to the bottom of the engine pan & secure the reservoir to the engine bracket (shown) designated for the overflow reservoir.

Hand tighten. 3400103 / 3400180 Connect the end of the forward/reverse cable to the throttle control. Use (1) CLAMP-THROTTLE SW/A (3307691) to secure the cable to the bracket on the engine- right next to the throttle control. Parts: 3307691 / 3400103 / 3400180

MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 5DATE: 2/27/08 Diesel Unit 3400103 3400180 3400072 3301459 Thread (1) NUT-HEX #10-32 ZP (3400072) onto the threaded end of the throttle cable, then thread (1) BALL JOINT-#10-32 ZP (3301459) on the cable. Insert the threaded stud on the ball joint into the middle hole on the throttle control lever that is on the front of the engine. Secure the ball joint to the lever by placing (1) WASHER-LOCK 1/4 SPLIT ZP (3400103) followed by (1) NUT-HEX 1/4-28 ZP (3400180) onto the threaded stud, once it is through the middle hole. Parts: 3301459 / 3400103 / 3400180

  6. MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 6DATE: 2/27/08 Diesel Unit 3400072 Tighten the NUT-HEX #10-32 ZP on the end of the throttle cable. This will prevent the ball joint from moving from its current position 3400103 / 3400180 Make sure that the throttle control lever (the lever that has the three holes in it) is vertical, relative to the floor and the unit frame. Tighten the nut at the back of the lever, which holds the ball joint and throttle cable to the lever. Tighten the nuts on the back of the clamp that holds the throttle cable to the bracket. Tools: 7/16” Wrench / 3/8” Wrench

MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 7DATE: 2/27/08 Gas, LP & Diesel 3301427 Remove the black knob from the end of the CABLE-IMPELLER STOP (3301427) – attached to the ASSY-HYD IMP SUB MS/FS – and remove the two nuts shown in the picture to the right. Next, insert the end of the CABLE-IMPELLER STOP through the hole in the center console as shown.

MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 8DATE: 2/27/08 Gas, LP & Diesel Pull the CABLE-IMPELLER STOP through the console into the driver’s compartment. Replace the large nut followed by the smaller nut onto the CABLE-IMPELLER STOP followed by the black knob. After the nuts are installed, tighten the large nut at the center console. Tighten the jam nut up against the black knob. After all nuts have been tightened push the black knob all the way in to the center console as shown. Tools: 5/8” Wrench

MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 9DATE: 2/27/08 Blue 18 Red wire GAS & LP ONLY Blue 19 3315818 Get (1) SWITCH-ROCKER, CARLING, SPDT, BLK (3315818) and (1) TIE-WIRE BLACK (3302493). Route the throttle wiring harness with Red and Blue wires on the lintel from the engine side to the operator side by going through a hole labeled THROTTLE on the center console. Connect the wires from the throttle wiring harness to the (1) SWITCH-ROCKER, as shown. The Red wire goes in the middle and the Blue 18 plugs in where arrow is pointing up which is for the high position, as shown. Plug in other Blue 19 wire in at the bottom of the switch, as shown. After the wires have been connected to the SWITCH-ROCKER then insert the switch in the opening in the center console while pulling the wiring harness back through the center console. Take (1) TIE-WIRE BLACK and tie off the wiring harness inside console, as shown at bottom right. Pull tie tight and cut off excess. Parts: 3315818 / 3302493 Tools: Wire Cutters 3302493

MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 10DATE: 2/27/08 LP UNITS ONLY 3317688 Remove the two bolts from the top of the LP tank door stop and place (1) GUARD-SWITCH VERT LP (3317688) over the two holes that the bolts came out of. Use the two bolts that were removed to secure the GUARD-SWITCH VERT LP to the panel as shown. Tighten. Parts: 3317688 Tools: Air Ratchet / ½” Socket / ½” Wrench

MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 11DATE: 2/27/08 LP UNITS ONLY 3400063 Place (2) WASHER-CONICAL SPRING 1/4 (3400383) onto (2) SCR-HEX,1/4-20X0.75 ZP (3400042). Place them through the (1) MNT-LPG SAFETY VALVE PNTD (3307934). Attach the MNT-LPG SAFETY VALVE PNTD onto the lintel on the hopper side of the unit. Secure the MNT-LPG SAFETY VALVE PNTD on the back side with (2) NUT-FLANGE LOCK 1/4-20 ZP (3400063), one on each bolt. Tighten the nuts and the bolts. 3400383 3400042 Tools: Air Ratchet / 7/16” Socket / 7/16” Wrench 3307934 Parts: 3400383 / 3400042 / 3307934 / 3400063

MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 12DATE: 2/27/08 LP UNITS ONLY 3316511 Make sure that the threaded hole in the fitting is facing to the right and left of the machine. Get (1) BULKHEAD-62 LP (3316511). Remove the nut and the lock washer from the BULKHEAD-62 LP. Place the BULKHEAD-62 LP into the MNT-LPG SAFETY VALVE PNTD by pushing the fitting from the top to the bottom. Replace the nut and the lock washer. Make sure the threaded hole in the BULKHEAD fitting is facing to the right and left of the machine. Tighten the nut onto the bulk head fitting. Parts: 3316511 Tools: 1-1/8” Wrench / ¾” Wrench

Apply 565 PST.ThrdSlnt50ml (WHITE LOCTITE 565) (3401122) to threaded end of fittings. Thread (1) VALVE-LP RELIEF into the left side of the BULKHEAD-62 LP, as shown at top right. Thread (2) FTG-SAE 5/8-18 45 DEG FLARE into the BULKHEAD-62 LP, one to the right side and one at the bottom, as shown at top and bottom right. Tighten. Parts: 3342097 / 3400862 3342097 Tools: 5/8” Wrench

MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 14DATE: 2/27/08 3400035 3400384 3400390 Gas, LP & Diesel 3309045 3309044 Take (1) SPACER-HINGE SIDE DOOR 82 (3309045) and place it between the (1) HINGE-SIDE DOOR 82 PNTD (3309044) and the lintel. Place (4) WASHER-CONICAL SPRING 5/16 (3400384) onto (4) SCR-HEX,5/16-18X1.00 ZP (3400035) and thread the bolts through the door hinge, spacer, and into the lintel. Secure them with (4) NUT-FLANGE LOCK 5/16-18 (3400390) on the inside of the lintel. Parts: 3309045 / 3309044 / 3400384 / 3400035 / 3400390

MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 15DATE: 2/27/08 Gas, LP & Diesel Used in LP Units Only After placing the NUT-FLANGE LOCK 5/16-18 on the inside of the lintel, make sure that the hinge is as far to the left as possible before tightening. Tighten the NUT-FLANGE LOCK 5/16-18 to secure the spacer and the hinge to the lintel. Tools: ½” Wrench / Ratchet / ½” Socket

Place (3) WASHER-CONICAL SPRING 5/16 (3400384) onto (3) SCR-HEX,5/16-18X1.00 ZP (3400035) and thread them through the door hinge, spacer, and into the lintel. Pull the HINGE SPACER & HINGE as far as possible to the left before securing them with (3) NUT-FLANGE LOCK 5/16-18 (3400390) on the inside of the lintel. Tighten. Parts: 3309047 / 3309088 / 3400384 / 3400035 / 3400390 Tools: ½” Socket / Ratchet / ½” Wrench

MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 17DATE: 2/27/08 Gas, LP & Diesel Place (2) WASHER-CONICAL SPRING 5/16 (3400384) onto (2) SCR-HEX,5/16-18X1.00 ZP (3400035) and insert them through the two holes in the MNT-GAS STRUT 82 (3309048). Place the MNT-GAS STRUT 82 on the engine side of the lintel where shown. Secure the MNT-GAS STRUT 82 with (2) NUT-FLANGE LOCK 5/16-18 (3400390) on the back side. Tighten the two bolts and nuts. 3309048 3309048 3400384 3400035 Horn Also, tighten the hardware that secures the horn. 3400390 Parts: 3400384 / 3400035 / 3309048 / 3400390 Tools: Air Ratchet / ½” Socket / ½” Wrench

  18. 3400384 3400036 MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 18DATE: 2/27/08 GAS & LP UNITS ONLY Take (2) WASHER-CONICAL SPRING 5/16 (3400384) and place, one each, onto (2) SCR-HEX,5/16-18X0.75 ZP (3400036). Push bolts through from the operator side of the unit to the hopper side of the unit. 3304965 Place (1) DOOR-OIL FILTER TOYOTA PNTD (3304965) in the operator area at the bottom left next to the floor pan. 3400390 Parts: 3304965 / 3400384 / 3400036 / 3400390 Secure with (2) NUT-FLANGE LOCK 5/16-18 (3400390) on the hopper side of the unit and tighten. Tools: Air Ratchet / ½” Socket / ½” Wrench

MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 19DATE: 2/27/08 Tighten the nuts that secure the PLATE-STOP SIDE DOOR 82 when finished adjusting the PANEL-SIDE DOOR HC 82 PNTD 3400148 3400390 Gas, LP & Diesel Next tighten the nuts that secure the PLATE-STOP SIDE DOOR 82 attached to the left/front of the SOLUTION TANK ASY. 3309033 Place (1) PANEL-SIDE DOOR HC 82 PNTD (3309033) onto the side door hinge. Thread (4) SCR-TRS,5/16-18X0.50,SLT ZP (3400148) into the holes on the door from the outside to the engine side of the unit. Secure the bolts inside with (4) NUT-FLANGE LOCK 5/16-18 (3400390). The mounting holes are slotted on the hinge side. Ensure that the edge of the door (near the TANK) aligns with the rubber stops in the PLATE-STOP SIDE DOOR 82 attached to the left/front of the SOLUTION TANK ASY – then tighten. 3400390 Parts: 3309033 / 3400148 / 3400390 Tools: Air Ratchet / ½” Socket / ½” Wrench

  20. MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 20DATE: 2/27/08 Gas, LP & Diesel 3400148 3317918 Place (1) COVER-TOP VERT LP (3317918) onto the top hinge installed earlier. Place (3) SCR-TRS,5/16-18X0.50,SLT ZP (3400148) into the holes in the top door, from top to bottom as shown. Then secure them with (3) NUT-FLANGE LOCK 5/16-18 (3400390) from the inside. Shop Note: DIESEL AND GAS UNITS use (1) COVER-TOP DOOR HC 82 PNTD (3309032) - installed with the same hardware and using the same procedure. 3400390 Parts: 3317918 or 3309032 / 3400148 / 3400390 Tools: Air Ratchet / ½” Socket / ½” Wrench

  21. MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 21DATE: 2/27/08 3400148 3400390 3309046 Gas, LP & Diesel Place (1) MNT-GAS SPRING 82 (3309046) onto the inside of the COVER-TOP toward the operator side. Use (2) SCR-TRS,5/16-18X0.50,SLT ZP (3400148) and (2) NUT-FLANGE LOCK 5/16-18 (3400390) to secure it in place. The screws are pushed through the cover from the outside of the unit. Tighten. Parts: 3309046 / 3400148 / 3400390 Tools: ½” Socket / Ratchet / Screwdriver

  22. MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 22DATE: 2/27/08 Gas, LP & Diesel Get (1) WELD-ENGINE COVER HD M/S (3315831). Latch the cover onto the top of the unit. The hooks that are on the cover will hook on the lip on the underside of the lintel on the left and right sides, as shown. 3315831 Parts: 3315831

The screw is pushed through from the outside to the inside and is secured with (2) NUT-HEX 1/4-20 ZP (3400071). Snug tighten. Parts: 3400052 / 3400103 / 3400071 Tools: 7/16” Wrench

Place (2) NUT-HEX 5/16-18 ES ZP (3400080), one each, onto the ends of both STUD-BALL GAS SPRING. Tighten the nuts onto the STUD-BALL GAS SPRING. 3400080 3300376 Parts: 3300376 / 3400080 Tools: ½” Socket / Ratchet / ½” Wrench

  26. MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 26DATE: 2/27/08 Gas, LP & Diesel Tighten the bolts and nuts that are securing the WELD-ENGINE COVER HD M/S to the lintel. Tools: 7/16” Socket / Extension / Air Ratchet / ½” Wrench

MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 27DATE: 2/27/08 Gas, LP & Diesel The top of the SPRING-COVER (50LB) GAS is snapped onto the STUD-BALL GAS SPRING that was just installed on the WELD-ENGINE COVER HD M/S. The bottom of the SPRING-COVER (50LB) GAS is snapped onto the bottom STUD-BALL GAS SPRING – installed on the LINTLE SUB ASY. Place (2) SPRING-COVER (50LB) GAS (3300375), one each on the left and right side of the engine cover. Parts: 3300375

  28. MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 28DATE: 2/27/08 Gas, LP & Diesel Peel the backing off of (1) INSULATION-ENG COVER MS (3302455). Smoothly apply the INSULATION-ENG COVER MS to the underside of the WELD-ENGINE COVER HD M/S with the notched corners at the top. Be sure to line edges up properly so that the INSULATION-ENG COVER MS does not end up crooked. 3302455 Parts: 3302455

Place (1) STUD-BALL GAS SPRING into the MNT-GAS SPRING 82. Secure with (1) NUT-HEX 5/16-18 ES ZP. Tighten the nut onto the STUD-BALL GAS SPRING. 3400080 3400080 3300376 Place (1) STUD-BALL GAS SPRING through the MNT-GAS STRUT 82. Secure with (1) NUT-HEX 5/16-18 ES ZP. Tighten nut to the STUD-BALL GAS SPRING. 3300376 Parts: 3300376 / 3400080 Tools: ½” Socket / Ratchet / ½” Wrench

  30. MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 30DATE: 2/27/08 Gas, LP & Diesel The LP COVER-TOP VERT is shown to the left & below. The GAS & DIESEL COVER-TOP is shown here to the right. 3500118 Cut 6 feet of EDGING-VINYL TRIM 1/8" X 250’ (3500118) and use to line the entire outer edge of the COVER-TOP. Once the entire outer edge has been covered, clip off any excess. Parts: 3500118 Tools: Wire Cutters

MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 31DATE: 2/27/08 LP UNITS ONLY 3500118 Cut an additional 4 feet of the EDGING-VINYL TRIM 1/8" X 250’ (3500118) and line the inside edge of the COVER-TOP. Be sure that wherever the end edging meets with the beginning of the edging is flush with each other. Cut off any excess that is not needed. Parts: 3500118 Tools: Wire Cutters

MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 32DATE: 2/27/08 Gas, LP & Diesel Place the bracket that comes with the LATCH ASSY-#C2-10-301-50 onto the latch on the inside of the door. Thread (1) SCR-HI/LO #10 X 3/4 ZINC (711161) through the bracket and into the latch. Tighten. This bracket holds the LATCH ASSY-#C2-10-301-50 in the hole that is in the door. 3300380 711161 3400072 3400963 Get (1) LATCH ASSY-#C2-10-301-50 (3300380), (1) 10-32X1 INDHWHMS Z (3400963) and (1) NUT-HEX #10-32 ZP (3400072). Place the NUT-HEX #10-32 ZP onto the screw 10-32X1 INDHWHMS Z. Thread the nut until it is about ½ way onto the screw. Thread the screw into the door latch assembly until the end of the threads is flush with the edge of the latch. Place the LATCH ASSY-#C2-10-301-50 into the slotted hole in the door for the engine. Parts: 3300380 / 3400963 / 3400072 / 711161 Tools: Phillips Screwdriver

MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 33DATE: 2/27/08 Gas, LP & Diesel 3300375 Connect (1) SPRING-COVER (50LB) GAS (3300375) to the GAS SPRING BALL STUDS on the COVER-TOP & the MNT-GAS STRUT 82. Close and open the top cover to check for the smoothness of operation. Parts: 3300375

Put a small amount of 565 PST.ThrdSlnt50ml (WHITE LOCTITE 565) (3401122) onto the threads of the FILTER-LPG FUEL, as shown. Thread the (1) FTG-SAE 5/8-18 45 DEG FLARE onto FILTER-LPG FUEL, as shown. Hand tighten. Parts: 3336584 / 3342097

The vise will hold the 90˚fitting. Thread the Tank Connector onto the fitting until it cannot be threaded anymore. Place the fuel filter into the table vise with the VALVE-LP RELIEF being held in the vise. Thread the fuel filter into the VALVE-LP RELIEF until it cannot be threaded anymore. Tools: Table Vise / ¾” Wrench

Tighten hose fitting. 3343736 Get (1) HOSE-3/8 AR 24.0 JIC 45 ST #6 #ST6 (3343734) from the LP Hose Kit. Remove the black cap on top of the fuel filter. Connect one end of 3343734 HOSE to the top of the LP fuel filter, as shown at top right and route hose up. The other end of 3343734 HOSE connects to the straight fitting that is on the top of the engine, above the alternator, as shown at bottom right. Tighten fitting on fuel filter and fitting on the engine. 3343736 3343734 Get (1) HOSE-3/8 AR 50.0 JIC 45 ST#6 (3343736). Route the end of the 3343736 HOSE-3/8 which does not have the large fitting on it from the front left side of the unit, down and over to the bottom of the engine. Connect other end of this to the bottom of the LP bulkhead fitting, as shown above. Tighten. Replace black cap on the left side of the LP bulkhead fitting. Shop Note: Upon completion of this page, check all LP hose fittings to make sure that they are all fully tightened. Parts: 3343736 / 3343734 Tools: (2) ¾” Wrenches / 5/8”Wrench

Position the LP TANK onto the LP MOUNT. Close and latch the strap that holds the LP Tank onto its mount. Turn the valve control until the valve is fully open. Place the LP Tank onto the LP MOUNT. Shop Note: Momentarily bleed the LP tank valve to release any air bubbles. Also, make sure that the fitting on the hose to the LP tank is very tight. Shop Note: After LP tank is installed and valve is fully open, spray water on all LP fittings in LP tank compartment and on all LP fittingsonengine to check for leaks. Tools: Water Spray Bottle

The (2) NUT-FLANGE LOCK 5/16-18 are placed onto the bolts from the underside of the unit. Hand tighten. Tighten the clamp onto the hose and the back end of the ASSY-GASKET MNT SUB. Tighten until the hose cannot be pulled off by tugging on it. Tools: 5/16” Nut Driver

Run the (2) bolts connecting the (2) Neutral Adjustment Plates in – depending on which way the tail wheel is turning. Stop @ the point when the tail wheel stops turning & lock the jam nuts down against the plate. Tools: ½” Wrench

Then, connect the inductive pickup lead around 1st spark plug wire from the 1st cylinder on the engine block. Remove the vacuum advance hose from the vacuum advance canister (attached to the distributor) & plug up the end of the hose with a screw. Tools: Timing Light

MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 49DATE: 2/27/08 GAS & LP UNITS ONLY With the strobe light on – the marks (which represent 1˚ per mark) on the crank pulley should align (between the 4th & 5th mark) with reference pointer cast in the front of the engine block. Loosen the bolt shown that mounts the distributor to the engine block so that you can turn the distributor. Start the engine. LP ENGINES: Set the timing light dial to 14˚ {The engine manufacturer specifies the timing to be set @ 14˚ BTDC (before top dead center) for LP ENGINES}. GAS ENGINES: Set the timing light dial to 3˚ (The engine manufacturer specifies the timing to be set @ 3˚ BTDC for GAS ENGINES). This should be set properly @ 3˚. Point the timing light @ the crank pulley (harmonic balancer) & squeeze the ‘trigger’. Tools: 12mm Wrench / Timing Light

  50. MODEL: TSS82 - SWEEPER SCRUBBERS - STATION 8DOCUMENTED BY: Bobbie LocklearPAGE NUMBER: 50DATE: 2/27/08 GAS & LP UNITS ONLY If the marks on the crank pulley do not align between the 4th & 5th mark with the reference pointer cast in the front of the engine block, twist the distributor until the 4th or 5th mark on the crank pulley aligns with the reference pointer cast into the front of the engine block. Then re-tighten the boltthat secures the distributor to the engine block. Re-connect the vacuum advance hose. Tools: 12mm Wrench / Timing Light
