  2. Did You Know….. A lead abatement supervisor is required for all set up and clean up activities for interim control work when a child with an EBL has been identified (R325.99406(4).

  3. Did You Know….. The Protect Your family From Lead in Your Home pamphlet is still required for the real estate disclosure requirements at the time of sale or lease of a home. The Renovate Right pamphlet is required prior to conducting renovation activities.

  4. Did You Know….. A failed window trough clearance sample represents all window troughs in the work area that were not tested.

  5. Did You Know….. HHS offers a compliance assist program to contractors and all certified lead professionals. The compliance assist must be requested by the lead professional or company. There is no risk of enforcement action with the program. The program is a good educational tool with real world applications.

  6. Did You Know….. A lead abatement site, once set up, is an abatement site until a passing clearance is achieved.

  7. Did You Know….. Caution tape and signs must remain up until a passing clearance is achieved. Caution tape should be erected creating a 20 foot perimeter around the exterior work area when 20 feet is available. Caution signs should be posted at all entrance points to the work area and at the caution tape for exterior work areas.
