  4. Christ: God’s Good and Perfect Gift Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! 2 Corinthians 9:15

  5. Good: because of man’s need For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

  6. Good: because of man’s need This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. 1 Timothy 1:15

  7. Perfect-complete But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. John 6:68

  8. Perfect-complete 8 though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. 9 And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, Hebrews 5:8-9

  9. Perfect-complete I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.” Galatians 2:21

  10. Perfect-complete Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. Colossians 2:8

  12. From God or man? for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 1:21

  13. Good. Hebrews 6:5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, Hebrews 6:5

  14. Good. Hebrews 6:5 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. Psalms 119:105

  15. Good. Hebrews 6:5 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. James 1:21

  16. Good. Hebrews 6:5 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth 1 Peter 1:22a

  17. Good. Hebrews 6:5 “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. Acts 20:32

  18. Perfect 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

  19. Church: God’s Family is a Good Gift

  20. Good? Saved in it. 26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Galatians 3:26-27

  21. Good? Saved in it. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. 2 Corinthians 5:10

  22. Good? Saved in it. and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. Ephesians 2:16

  23. Good? Saved in it. Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. Acts 20:28

  24. Good? Saved in it. but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. 1 Timothy 3:15

  25. Perfect from the divine aspect. 1. Organization 2. Worship 3. Soul-saving purpose 4. Soul-caring responsibility.

  26. Conclusion 1. A good gift shows love for and interest in one. 2. God loved and gave (John 3:16)

  27. Conclusion 3. If we love in return, we give to God: A. Self And not only as we had hoped, but they first gave themselves to the Lord, and then to us by the will of God. 2 Corinthians 8:5

  28. Conclusion 3. If we love in return, we give to God: A. Self (2 Cor 8:5) B. Time 15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16
