INTRODUCTION • The man has always needed management methods; from the early days of human life on the earth to the time of flourishing civilizations in ancient age and to the unbelievable developments in recent century.That is why the management and administrative experts are to design new styles of management for the challenges that are faced with in upcoming century. Although there are many Islamic countries with different levels of development in the world but still there is no worldwide accepted Islamic management system that can be used in Islamic organizations and countries.Checking the principles and elements of western style of management which is used word wide and the management rules and elements in Islamic style of management, one may see they are almost the same. The only difference is ultimate stress on moral and humanity in Islamic management- although this matter has been paid a lot of attention in western style recently.

  3. AL-QUWWAH(POWER) • Power is the ability to influence the behavior of People. • can be seen as evil or unjust, but the exercise of power is accepted as endemic to humans as social beings

Concept of power • Authority is the right to direct others and ask them to do things which they would not otherwise do • Influence is conceived as more broader and it is the ability to alter actions of other people in general ways by changing their satisfaction criteria and thus improve their performanc

  5. Application Of Power • With downward power, a company's superior influences subordinates. • When a company exerts upward power, it is the subordinates who influence the decisions of the leader

  6. Type Of Power • Referent power • Expert power • Rewards power • Coercive power • Legitimate power

  7. Advantages Of Power • Getting respect from people for using power to improve society or organizations. • Empowers the people to oppose corrupt power. • Reforms the concept of power itself by depriving human authority of absolute basis of every type, making it accountable, and defining its function

AL-THIQQAH (Confidence) • as a state of being certain either that a hypothesis or prediction is correct or that a chosen course of action is the best or most effective • one’s absolute confidence and trust in Allah, believing and knowing that nothing can happen to us or hurt us unless it is by Allah’s wil

  9. Application Of Confidence • Walk faster • Stand up straight • Dress well • Compliment others • Self-monitor • Be humble

AL-AT'AH(Obedience) • in human behavior, is a form of "social influence in which a person yields to explicit instructions or orders from an authority figure. • generally distinguished from compliance, which is behavior influenced by peers, and from conformity, which is behavior intended to match that of the majority.

  12. Application Of Obedience • Islam considers obedience to the leader so important that it views any kind of insubordination to be abhorrent unless in very specific circumstances. • In fact, the Prophet once said that “obedience (to the leader) is required only in what is good”.

  13. Advantages • a good way in evaluating the performance of a leader • one could use it as a complementary method to find out, how the leader is performing and if there is need for a change.

  14. AL-SYARIAH(Confidentiality) • Confidentiality in operation management • Three types of information should be confidential: • Employee information • Management information • Business information

  15. Important of confidentiality •  Saves the company from awkward situations • Makes the company stay ahead of their competitorsIt maintains a degree of professionalism • Increases trust and respect • To avoid sensitive information getting in the wrong hands

  16. What Steps Can Be Taken To Better Protect Confidential Information? • Separate folders should be kept for both form I-9s and employee medical information. • All confidential documents should be stored in locked file • Employees should refrain from leaving confidential information visible

  17. All confidential information should be disposed of properly • Limit the acquisition of confidential client data • Employees should refrain from discussing confidential information in public

  18. AL-ITQAN(Fullest Effort) • itqan is a word used to indicate the level of quality work. • English translation of itqan is "to arrange and dispose of things in a scientific and artistic way in order to obtain the most perfect results." • The lives of Prophet Muhammad (p) and his companions are examples of quality work and performance.

  19. order, discipline, accuracy, beautiful work, well thought out tasks, and justice are all part of quality Islamic work and performance.

Conclusion • Unlike modern western thinkers’ philosophies and concepts where technical and material objectives are important, Islamic management system comprise of principles derived from the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah • By knowing and understanding such principles a combination of Islamic and western management system can be formulated which can be flawlessly implemented in other non-Islamic countries as well

  21. Moreover, Muslim countries especially Arab countries which are the birth place of Islam should implement Islamic concepts of management in letter and spirit. Furthermore, multinational corporations should keep in mind the Islamic values and culture before starting their operations in specific countries and region
