Ed 1 Foreign Language 1 ADVANCED REGENTS DIPLOMA : UNITS OF CREDIT English 4 Social Studies 4 Science 3 Math 3 PE 2 Health ½ Art/Music/Tech. Ed 1 Foreign Language 3 GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

  3. TYPES OF DIPLOMAS • ADVANCED REGENTS DIPLOMA Students must score 65 or above on 9 Regents exams and earn 22 units of credit • REGENTS DIPLOMA Students must score 65 or above on 5 Regents exams and earn 22 units of credit

  4. TYPES OF DIPLOMAS • LOCAL DIPLOMA This diploma is only available to students with an IEP.

  5. ENGLISH • English 9 Regents • English 9 (with Resource support) • English 9 Honors (teacher recommendation required)

  6. SCIENCE • Earth Science Regents • Earth Science 9 (with Resource support) • Honors Earth Science (teacher recommendation and 90+ final average for Science 8)

  7. SOCIAL STUDIES • Global Studies 9 Regents • Global Studies 9 (with Resource support)

  8. MATH • Algebra IR (exam in June of freshman year) • Algebra I (2 yr. course, exam in June of Sophomore year) • Geometry (Prerequisite: 85+ average for Algebra in 8th grade, Geometry Regents exam in June of Freshman year)

  10. FOREIGN LANGUAGE • French I – Spanish I • French II – German II – Spanish II (Students would take this level if they pass the 8th grade foreign language with a 65 or higher)

  11. ART • Studio Art I • Studio Art II (Prerequisite: Studio Art I in 8th grade) • 3-D Design (Prerequisite: Studio Art I in 8th grade)

  12. TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION (MAY BE USED FOR ART REQUIREMENT) • Design and Drawing for Production • Use CADD software • Technical drawing • Model construction • Presented with design problems & learn design process solutions

  13. TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION • COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN AND DRAFTING (CADD) • APPLICATION IN TECHNOLOGY • CONSTRUCTION DRAFTING I- ARCHITECTURE • CONSTRUCTION DRAFTING - ADVANCED ARCHITECTURE • PRINCIPLES OF ENGINEERING

  14. MUSIC • Choir • Concert Band • Choir/Band • Bach to Rock

  15. PHYSICAL EDUCATION • Must take PE for 4 years
