What is Web 3.0? • Web 3.0 refers the third generation of internet based services using semantic web, micro formats, data mining, natural language search, machine learning, recommendation agents and artificial intelligence technologies that emphasize machine facilitated understanding of information to provide more productive & intuitive user experience.

What is that in Laymen's terms? • Web 3.0 is an intimate connections made between the real world and the web. • An example is worth a thousand words, • January 2009 President Obama’s inauguration was experienced by millions in persons and shared with millions more simultaneously around the world

A few things that shows relevancy to web 3.0 • Hand Held 3G Devices • Providing access to the internet almost anywhere • Instance uploading of photos from phone to web • Twitter Messaging • Allows news of globe happenings to be distributed in minutes • GPS Triggered Multimedia • Instance driving directions • Instance imaging from sites like Google Earth • Real time commutations from sites like Google Video Chat and Skype • Web 3.0 iphone apps • Access instance information on businesses, movies/restaurants, local TV listings from apps like Around Me

Here’s how it works • Think of this- • You decide you want to see a comedy movie and afterwards you are in the mood for incredible spicy Mexican Food. • The old way, • you get on the computer and search web 1.0, • go through all the data to find the movie theaters and the restaurants, that fits your needs. • This may take hours, • OR you take someone else's word from web 2.0, like Facebook or MySpace. • Experts believe with web 3.0 you will make you search tasks for movies and food faster and easier. • Instead of multiple searches, you might type a complex sentences such as “I want to see a funny movie and eat at a good Mexican restaurant, what are my options?” • The web 3.0 browser will analyze your question, search the internet, and organize the results for you. • Making web 3.0 bowers act like your personal assistance!!

It will achieve this by Inherent intelligence, the web becoming smart • In a little over a decade, according to the engineers building the internet of tomorrow, the web will be able to connect every aspect of our digital lives. • Be it a website, an email, or a file on your PC, it will know for instance when you are typing an email what the subject of the email is and will be able to suggestion websites, books, and documents, as well as photos and videos that may be relevant to the topic.
