  38. DMV Eligibility • Programmers working on this at the present time.

  39. Revocation • Marker • Based on • Attendance • Identified Discipline Codes • Achievement • Cumulative Credits • Core Credits

  40. Revocation Program • a list of students to have revocation documents will be printed, • the revocation document for each identified student will be printed, • a letter from the county to the student and parents advising them that the revocation document has been filed with the DMV. I can provide a copy of the letter that we use to use as a template. • a marker of the revocation will be placed in the individual student files.

  41. Reinstatement • Three different aspects to this issue: • Reinstating a student following a hearing regarding revocation and they meet one of the criteria to not be revocated. • Reinstating students mid-year that are revocated on ATTENDANCE ONLY from the previous year and they are now at less than 10 consecutive or 15 total unexcused absences. • Reinstating students at the end of the school year, that were revocated the previous year, that do not meet the revocation guidelines for the present year.

  42. Reinstatement Program • a list of students to have reinstatement documents will be printed, • the reinstatement document for each identified student will be printed, • a letter from the county to the student and parents advising them that the reinstatement document has been filed with the DMV • the marker of the revocation will be removed in the individual student files or the alternative marker is placed ,if the reinstatement is due to the outcome of a hearing.

  43. Verification of Enrollment • Checks that occur • The revocation Marker, • Attendance (10 consecutive or 15 total unexcused absences), • The identified discipline codes.

  44. Verification of Enrollment • An Enrollment Verification Form for each student that qualifies, • For students who do not qualify, a page should print out indicating that they do not qualify at the present time and provide them with a date as to when they can apply again. • During 1st semester, the notation would be for the 1st day of 2nd semester only if they are only not eligible due to attendance issues from the previous year. • If they have accumulated 10 consecutive or 15 total unexcused absences this year, that they are not eligible until at least the end of 1st semester of the following school year. • If they have violated any of the identified discipline issues, they are not eligible until at least the end of the following school year. • All others would indicate the end of the year.

  45. CA2 Letters • We also asked that, on that same printout, there be a tally of the absences, based on the reason codes, counting excused, unexcused, and total absences.  • The state office has asked for more guidance on this issue.

  46. From the Floor • Questions from You to Me • What else do the State WVEIS Staff need to address?
