  5. Opening the Scroll (Rev. 5:1-14) 1. Scroll written on front and back and sealed with 7 seals (v.1) 2. Angel asks, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals” (v.2) 3. No one in heaven or on earth was worthy (v.3) 4. Only Jesus, appearing as a slain lamb, was worthy to take the scroll!! (v.6-8)

  7. The Seven Seals (Rev. 6-8) 1. Seal 1: White Horse—bow, crown, conquering 2. Seal 2: Red Horse—takes peace from earth 3. Seal 3: Black Horse—scales, inflation 4. Seal 4: Pale Horse—25% of the earth killed 5. Seal 5: Martyrs appear under the Altar of God 6. Seal 6: Great earthquake, sun blackened, moon like blood, stars fall, sky vanishes. 7. Seal 7: Silence for 1/2 hour, begins trumpets….

  8. The Seven Trumpets (Rev. 8:6-11:19) 1. Trumpet 1: Hail & fire mixed with blood thrown on earth. 1/3 of the earth burned up. 2. Trumpet 2: 1/3 of the sea becomes blood, 1/3 of sea creatures die, 1/3 of ships destroyed. 3. Trumpet 3: Wormwood, the great star falls from heaven and fell on a third of the rivers. Many people die.

  9. The Seven Trumpets (Rev. 8:6-11:19) 1. Trumpet 4: 1/3 reduction in the light produced by the sun, moon and stars. Less daylight and light at night. Three “woes” because of the last 3 trumpets. 2. Trumpet 5 (1st Woe): The Bottomless Pit opened and locusts are released to torment and sting those who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. This lasts 5 months.

  10. The Seven Trumpets (Rev. 8:6-11:19) 3. Trumpet 6 (2nd Woe): Four angels bound by the Euphrates river are released to kill 1/3 of mankind. Two Hundred Million person army will cause 2 billion people to die by the fire, smoke and sulfur they produce. Yet,

The Seven Trumpets (Rev. 8:6-11:19) “The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk, 21 nor did they repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.” Revelation 9:20-21 ESV

  12. The Seven Trumpets (Rev. 8:6-15:8) 3. Trumpet 7 (3rd Woe): The 24 Elders worship of God in Heaven. The Temple in Heaven opens and the ark of the covenant is seen within the temple. There are intervening events including the drama between the Woman and the Dragon, Satan cast to the earth, introduction of the first Beast (political ruler) and the second Beast (false prophet). Preparations for the Seven Bowl Judgments.

  13. The Seven Bowls (Rev. 16) 1. Bowl 1: Poured on earth. Harmful and pain sores appear on those who took the mark of the beast and worshipped his image. 2. Bowl 2: Poured on the sea. Sea becomes like blood and everything in it dies. 3. Bowl 3: Poured on the rivers and springs. Rivers and springs become like blood.

  14. The Seven Bowls (Rev. 16) 4. Bowl 4: Poured on the sun. People were scorched by fierce heat. They cursed the name of God and did not repent to give him glory. 5. Bowl 5: Poured on the throne of the Beast. The Beast’s kingdom is plunged into darkness. People will be in anguish and pain and cursed God and did not repent. 6. Bowl 6: Poured on the rivers and springs. Rivers and springs become like blood.

  15. The Seven Bowls (Rev. 16) 6. Bowl 6: Poured on the Euphrates River. The Euphrates dries up to become a pathway for the kings of the east to come to the battle of Armageddon (…or “Mount of Megiddo”) between Satan, the Beast and the False Prophet.

  16. The Seven Bowls (Rev. 16) 7. Bowl 7: Poured into the air. Loud voice from the throne in the temple saying, “It is done!” An unprecedented earthquake occurs that causes catastrophic devastation. One hundred pound hailstones fall to the earth. The people still curse God.
