Required Research

Interview: You must conduct an interview with a parent or another adult about ONE of the following: 1. Why your name was selected OR 2. Feelings about your name and how it fits you and/or your family. This is not about your feelings… those will come through in the project.

Origin: Where did your name come from?

Meaning : Many times, a baby name website may help with this. It may be something you get from the interview, if you have a unique name.

Variations : What are there variations of your name? Ex. Smith, Smyth

Famous/Historical People: Find those with names the same as yours. Ex: Elizabeth, Queen Elizabeth

Survey: Pretend you could change your name. What would it be? Any historical or cultural significance? When you have determined your new name, do a poll of at least twenty people to see which name they prefer.
