  2. Send Montreal Vision Tours • Montreal is the largest city in the Canadian province of Quebec, the second-largest city in Canada, and the fifteenth largest in North America. • Founded in 1642 and originally called Ville-Marie, or "City of Mary", its current name is derived from Mount Royal, the triple-peaked hill located in the heart of the city. • The streets of downtown Montreal are filled with students protesting tuition increases, well dressed homeless asking for raises and refugees from all over the world who have found freedom in this urban haven.

  3. Send Montreal Vision Tours • French is the language of choice and this influences the cultural and religious norms of this predominantly catholic city. • The universities in this city are filled many students who do not know the definition of a savior. • They are waiting for some one to introduce them to Jesus in a way they can respond and relate to. • We are working to mobilize high school and college students in SBC churches to become student missionaries by attending universities in Montreal.

  4. Send Montreal Vision Tours • There is a love/hate relationship with the Catholic Church that has encouraged many Quebecois to give up on churches all together. • The cathedrals are the emptiest buildings in the city and are used as malls, museums, etc. but rarely are they places of worship. • Islam is thriving where Catholicism is dying and this has attracted Middle Eastern, North African and West African immigrants who fill the over 140 mosques each Friday afternoon.

  5. Send Montreal Vision Tours • NAMB is hosting vision trips to connect SBC churches with the over 99.5% who live in Montreal without knowing where they will spend eternity. • We are also partnering with SBC conventions and associations to mobilize churches all over the US to engage in Montreal. • The need is obvious and the choice is simple, please join us in taking the Gospel to the most unreached people group in North America.

  6. Send Montreal Vision Tours • Vision Tour Cost Per Participant: • City Transportation: $18 for a 3 day bus/metro pass • Hotel: $100/night for private room, $50/night for shared room. (x3 nights = $300 private/$150 shared) • Meals: $50/day ($10/$20/$20 avg.) x3 days = $150 • TOTAL = $468 + airfare • The Southern Baptists of Texas Convention will provide a one time scholarship of $300
