Overview • The empire magazine was launched in July 1989 to be a magazine on reviews on films and games, gives information about upcoming films and the lives of actors and film crew. • The magazine is aimed at both male and female of an age 13 • The empire magazine is published by Bauer Consumer Media. • The average print circulation per issue from the 1st January to 30th June 2012 was 167,096. • The Magazine costs £3.99 in the UK and $9.99 in the US. • The magazine is sold through print, computer and mobile. • The content is largely focused on what is good and bad about new film releases and who is them, the information is given in informal content

The leadership may change from time to time There are two types of opinion leaders. The first being monomorphic, meaning they are only influential on one topic and the other, polymorphic which means the leader is influential on a variety of topics. • The opinion leader for the empire would be the reviewer. • The other opinion leaders would be people who review the magazine.

Audience Reasearch • The potential readership of the Empire, using the demographic scale would be E (unemployed and student), this is the main readers. • The readership of the empire can spread across the scale because of the variety of films and advert’s the empire prints. • The audience that reads the magazine like the use of texts and how the writer writes the articles that make the reader feel like that the writers talking to them about the film; this pulls in the readers interests and attention to what genre of films they like to make them buy the next issue. • The magazine uses a new appealing film as the front covers image to attract an audience and a variety of other audiences.
