  1. Activity • In your group, you are going to be given a hypothetical crisis. • Talk amongst your group about how you would deal with it.

  2. The United States Is Collapsing! • After a series of losses to Canada (eh?), the United States slowly begins to crumble. • Brainstorm amongst your group: • What fears would you have?   3. The Government Collapses • Canada’s ice warriors have made the government completely shut down! • Brainstorm amongst your group: • What kind of things does the government do for us? • How will a shut down of the government affect us?

  4. It’s Over, the Government is Not Returning! • Canada has completely finished off the U.S. government! However, they are not going to rule, but they may invade from time to time on their horsies. • Brainstorm amongst your group: • Now that this is a long-term reality, what will you do to survive? (You can’t just create a new government) • Will it be better to go it alone or to make friends?

  5. So How Is This Relevant? • Feudalism starts in a similar way! • What empire collapses? • Rome! • The decline of Roman influence in Western Europe left people with little protection against invasion, so they entered into feudal agreements with land-holding lords who promised them protection.
